Safe and Secure

Even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.

You want to feel safe and secure. You say you trust Me, but in your private thoughts, you are still trying to fix your world so that it is safe and predictable. Not only is this an impossible goal, but it actually makes you less safe and secure.

True safety and security are found only in Me—in depending on My Presence. When your world seems unsteady and scary, grab My hand. I will hold tightly to you and keep you safe.

Instead of searching for a problem-free life, be glad that you have troubles. In the darkness of your trouble, you can see the brightness of My Face more clearly. This helps you feel closer to me.

So hold tightly to My hand, confident that today’s problems have a purpose. And remember—you have an eternity of trouble-free living just waiting for you in heaven.

In the morning I read Psalm 91 and Jesus Calling for Kids..

Now , before dozing off I read Joseph Prince' "Right Believing" devotional.

I am doing this not because I want to get good score from God.

I cannot do that because I would be too lazy to do that. Haha!

Kidding aside...I don't know.

I'm doing this now because my spirit prompts me to do it.

It's amazing really..there's no struggle and all.

Guess, my spirit is hungry for God's word.

In the Bible, it says...God's word is HEALTH to our flesh!

And it really is...

Keep asking God for wisdom and He shall lead you to it.

It's amazing when He does that. And I'm sure you will love it too the way I'm loving

it now:)

Believing The God of Grace

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Are you like many today who believe in a “religious” God? Do you believe that God is against you when you fall short, that He is angry with you when you fail, and that fellowship with Him is cut off when you make mistakes?
It’s no wonder then that instead of running to the one true solution, many sincere folks run in the opposite direction when they are hurting. So there is a great deception, a powerful, wrong belief about God that has trapped many in the vicious cycle of condemnation, guilt, fear, defeat, and addiction.
My friend, I want you to know today that God is a God of infinite grace. He is repugnant to the “religious,” but gracious and irresistible to those who are hurting.
No matter what you are going through today, whatever addictions may be binding you, right believing can and will set you free. Start with believing this powerful truth:
God is a God of grace and forgiveness. “He loves you very much, and He doesn’t hold your mistakes against you.”

“Don’t let the mistakes you have made in the past hold you back from reaching out to God and receiving His forgiveness for all your failures. Begin to believe right about the Lord, believe right about His heart and love for you, and your entire life will be transformed. Right believing always leads to right living!”

God Uses What Man Deems Useless

There was once an old donkey that decided to go somewhere deserted to spend its last days. It found a suitable place, laid down and died after a few days. God looked down at the donkey and said, “I can’t use this donkey.”

Along came the vultures and foxes, picking off chunks of flesh from the donkey. It was a sorry sight. God looked down at the donkey and said, “I still can’t use this donkey.” Then, the ants and other critters of the wilderness came, and cleared up what the vultures and foxes had left behind. The donkey was now just a skeleton, but God still couldn’t use it.

Days and weeks passed, the burning sun scorching the bones of the donkey till they were totally dry and white. God looked down at what was left of the donkey and said, “Now I can use the donkey!”

Then along came Samson with his seven locks dancing in the wind. The man looked around for a weapon to wield against his enemies, and found…just an old, dried up jawbone of a donkey. And with the seemingly useless and worthless jawbone, he slew a thousand men (Judges 15:11–17).

My friend, God uses what the world deems useless and past its shelf life to accomplish amazing feats. That’s just His style. So if people have written you off, called you “useless” or treated you as insignificant, get ready! God can and is about to use you to do the impossible. He’ll transform and empower you to do what you and your critics never dreamed possible!

Remember that the devil is the father of lies. He likes to sneak into your thoughts and whisper lies to you. One of his favorites is to tell you that I don’t really love you unconditionally. Satan wants you to believe that you have to be good enough to be loved. If you make one little mistake—if you even think about a sin—then surely I won’t love you anymore.

That is a lie. I love you, no matter what. This world is full of temptations. It’s hard to always resist, and it’s impossible for you to be perfect. I understand that. I walked on this earth, too, and I was exactly your age once.

But be encouraged: I lived a perfect life in this world and then died to wash away your sins. And I rose from the grave to be your Savior. All because I love you—unconditionally. Come close to Me, and I’ll wrap you up in My perfect Love.

Peace In The Midst Of A Storm

Whatever season you are in, whatever the circumstances surrounding you, the Lord is able to give you peace, security, covering and protection. You do not have to be afraid, even in the midst of a storm. The psalmist describes this beautifully: “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty…He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge.”

There is no safer place in the universe than under the protective shelter of your Savior’s wings. It does not matter what kinds of circumstances may be raging around you. You can call on the Lord for His unmerited favor, protection and peace that surpasses all understanding.

What blessed assurance you can have today, knowing that even if destruction rages around you, there is always refuge and comfort in the Lord—your unfailing peace, protection and supply!

Jesus is a Friend of Sinners

Remember, Jesus didn't die on the cross for the good people.

He suffered and died at the cross for the sinners.

You and I will always be sinners...but because of what Jesus has done

at the cross, we are made clean and pure in the eyes of God.

So thank Jesus, He came not to condemn you...(unlike any other preachers)

but He came to save you so you can have an eternal life!

Your Part Is To Believe

If there’s a part for you to play in the new covenant of grace it is simply this: to believe. So what does God want you to believe? He wants you to believe in Jesus and His finished work, that you are completely forgiven of all your sins and that Jesus’ blood cleanses you from all your unrighteousness and lawlessness. And because of Jesus’ atoning sacrifice, God wants you to believe with all your heart that He meant every word when He said, “…I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more” (Hebrews8:12).

In God’s eyes today, you are made perfectly righteous by Jesus’ finished work. The new covenant’s emphasis is to believe that you are forgiven of every sin and that God has erased them from His memory. If you don’t believe this, it will be impossible for you to depend on and expect God to protect, provide for and bless you. If you don’t believe this, it will rob you of the ability to receive His goodness, blessings, unmerited favor and success in your life. So believe. Only believe!
