Can I borrow $25?

A man came home from work late,
tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'

DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.

SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'That's none of your business.
Why do you ask such a thing?'
the man said angrily.

SON: 'I just want to know.

Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour..'

SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied,
with his head down.

SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'

The father was furious,

'If the only reason you asked that is so you
can borrow some money to buy a silly toy
or some other nonsense, then you march yourself
straight to your room and go to bed.

Think about why you are being so selfish.

I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.'

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier
about the little boy's questions.
How dare he ask such questions
only to get some money?
After about an hour or so,
the man had calmed down ,
and started to think:
Maybe there was something he really needed
to buy with that $25.00 and he really
didn't ask for money very often.

The man went to the door of
the little boy's room and opened the door.

'Are you asleep, son?' He asked.

'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.

'I've been thinking,
maybe I was too hard on you earlier'
said the man.

'It's been a long day and
I took out my aggravation on you.

Here's the $25 you asked for.'

The little boy sat straight up, smiling.

'Oh, thank you daddy!' He yelled.

Then, reaching under his pillow he pull ed out
some crumpled up bills.

The man saw that the boy already had money,
started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money,
and then looked up at his father.

'Why do you want more money if you already
have some?' the father grumbled.

Because I didn't have enough,
but now I do,' the little boy replied.
'Daddy, I have $50 now.
Can I buy an hour of your time?
Please come home early tomorrow.
I would like to have dinner with you.'

The father was crushed.
He put his arms around his little son,
and he begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all
of you working so hard in life.
We should not let time slip through our fingers
without having spent some time
with those who really matter to us,
those close to our hearts.
Do remember to share that $50 worth of
your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow,
the company that we are working for
could easily replace us in a matter of hours.
But the family & friends we leave behind
will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.
Make time for living while you're still breathing.

Thank you Jesus

My Daily Verse
“My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.” (1 John 2:1)

I love this daily verse I received for today.
What would i do without You, Jesus?
You have made me righteous in the eyes of God because of your blood
and sacrifice.

Thank you Jesus!

Two Obstacles To Having A Confident Expectation of Good

I used to hate Christians because I felt some of them are not behaving the way they should. I always thought that if you're a Christian, and have been born should act real good, behave well to give justice to Jesus.

I was so wrong and stupid to be thinking that way.

Everyone of us can never be perfect. Not in this world. Be it a Christian or not,
we still experience each other's ups and downs..struggles..problems of any kind.

That's why we need Jesus!

Because in Jesus, no matter who we are, how imperfect and failure we may have become
we still live in VICTORY ground!

Even if you're a non-believer or an atheist -- Jesus still loves you..
He knows that you are weary from whatever that is troubling you right now and just wants you to rest in Him. Just like I was so tired and weary and was ready to give up too.
You just need to accept Him and the rest will follow.

Don't listen to the words of man. For man's words are inconsistent. GOd's Words are Forever and lasting.

Enjoy this mp3 peepz. Do not let other people's judgment turn you down. Instead look up to the Jesus and have a confident expectation of Good.

Debunking Common Myths About Prayer

I used to pray alot...and pray hard.
My past diaries back when I was in my college days could attest to that.

I thought God is always too busy attending other people's prayer
so I really told myself to pray harder so He can notice and hear me out.

Back in my old church,
I saw people kneeling from the main entrance walking towards the altar on bended knees. I deeply sighed. Then I asked the Lord, God? What if I do
that and then I wouldn't be able to make it in the altar? Are my prayers considered void?

Lack of good Christian teachings back then, I slowly turned away from Him.
Because in my mind, God was so hard to pleased. And I felt , I wouldn't be able to live up to His expectations.

I was in total BONDAGE!

No one really taught me or told me that God wasn't like that. It was what I saw and have
become accustomed to.
So I didn't like it and was bored with it so like my mom and my late dad, I stayed away from church. I only appear if there was really one big thing that I wanted to.But that's it. Just for my own benefits.

Now..I'm glad Jesus has showed me who and what God really is.
It changes everything. and my coming to Him now is more of like child-father relationship
thing..I mean it's more than that actually.Your dad can tell you, ok I will grant your request but first you must do this ...and that.Or be good this time or else..

God isn't like that. He gives you everything execeedingly, abundantly without strings attached no matter who you are or no matter what you do..
All you have to do is just to accept it. That's it.

you might ask, "How do you know?"
I'd say..." Look at the C R O S S.. that's the biggest gift God has given to me and to you
so we all can enjoy everything what's in this world! That's the answer to all our prayers! We just have to come boldly, accept it and live life fully with it!"
You might say.."You're making it so simple:"

I'd say,,"Why are you making it so hard? lolx!"

or you might say again, Hey Dinx, you're sharing a lot of these stuffs so where's your car? How's your bank account? Where's your big house and all?? Where? where?

Well, for now. I aint got any of those just YET.

I don't need to pray or ask for all of it either. For I know God has given me those already.
I can only say thanks to Him and praise Him even more .

Like I said, the CROSS is everything that I have..With it , the rest follows.

And I could just shout: In this world for now, I may have nothing, but with God and Jesus, I HAVE MY HEALTH and POWER TO PROSPER. I HAVE EVERYTHING!

Let's relax for awhile and listen to this awesome message my dear friends.
This will teach you how to pray.

Debunking Common Myths About Prayer

You gotta have that faith!

Before I got saved, I knew deep in my heart that I was using my Faith
in wrong things. I mean, there's really nothin wrong when you "believe"
in the stuffs you get accustomed when you believe in the doctors and the
medicine they prescribe to you just to give you relief. You believe in someone
that he/she will love you forever. You believe in that long-awaited promotion
in your career to come. You believe you will get rich and become a millionaire.
It's all in believing..and I call it "FAITH".

I believe in those stuffs too. BUt as I go my fun walk as a Christian,
my faith have been elevated.
I believe that I needed to use my FAITH somewhere where there's more to get on hold to.
Like supernatural healing (my most fave) and prosperity.

Let me share with you a devotional I received for today from Pastor Prince
to back it all up.
Enjoy and good sunday everyone!

"Believe That God Is Your Rewarder "

Hebrews 11:6
6But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Most people quote only the first part of Hebrews 11:6 — “without faith it is impossible to please Him”. Yet, it goes on to say, “for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”. In other words, the faith that pleases God is the kind of faith that believes that God exists and that He is a rewarder.

The Bible also says that “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. (Hebrews 11:1) So even in times of difficulty, when we don’t see good things happening in our circumstances, we are to believe that God will turn things around and reward us.

God turned things around for Ruth, the Moabite widow, when she believed the Lord and made Him her God. (Ruth 1:16) The Bible tells us that she was given a “full reward” by the Lord when she came under His wings for refuge. (Ruth 2:12) Not only did He give her protection, He also gave her abundant provision, exceeding favor and a glorious redemption. (Ruth 2:9–17, 3:11, 4:10–13)

When Rahab, the harlot of Jericho, heard reports of how the Lord had opened up the Red Sea for the children of Israel, she believed that “He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath”. (Joshua 2:9–11) Though Rahab had not personally witnessed the miracles, she believed God and hid the Jewish spies from their pursuers. (Joshua 2:4–6) Because of her faith, she not only did not perish with those who did not believe (Joshua 6:25, Hebrews 11:31), but she was also given a place in the “hall of faith” in Hebrews 11.

God was so pleased with the faith of these two Gentile women that He not only blessed them in their lifetimes, but He also put them into the genealogy of His Son Jesus Christ, the great Redeemer and rewarder.

Beloved, when you come to the Lord with your needs, believe that He is God, and that He is a rewarder. God has pleasure in this kind of faith. He wants to be the rewarder of your faith in Him!

How To Deal With Lying Symptoms

I had my medical examination this afternoon for my PR formalities requirement.
When the clinic staff checked on my BP, she told me my blood pressure wss high
and that she needed second opinion from the doctor himself.

While waiting for my queue.. series of thoughts attacked me.
A bit fearful.

Could it be I'm like my mom and my late dad now?
Hypertension runs in my blood and it could pass onto me.

And then I remember one of the sermons of Pastor Prince when He said
once I become a believer..all my curses are cut off by the blood of
Jesus. That includes all the diseases that my ancestors had passed on
generation after generation.

Then slowly, on my breath, I just said,
"This symptom that I'm having right now is just a lie.
And I reject it in Jesus name!
All my sicknesses have been healed 2,000 years ago when Jesus received
those blows and whippings. And I boldy declare, By His stripes, I am healed!"

And guess what,

When the doc checked on my bp again.
He said.....

-'s normal.

And I just smiled and winked secretly on Jesus.

I don't know with you..But as for me, I believe in the originator of my
well-being and health. The one man who really knows what's going on inside
my body...and that is God. That's why He sent Jesus to heal us also.

Temporarily , worldy medicines can give u relief but not lasting.

Me? no matter what I'm feeling right now.
Even if there's pain it headache or bodyache.
I still boldly declare...

My Wallpaper Of The Day

God just keeps reminding me to hold fast on my FAITH.
In this life, as I go along and enjoy my Christian adventure,
I have learned that it's not my decisions,my goals,my dreams,
my being sad at the moment, contemplating on how bad my attitude is
or fearing how worsr that I'll become, etc that really matter the most.

it's my FAITH in Him.

That FAITH can make wonders in your life as I did with mine.

You may feel so lost and rejected in this world
but with that FAITH stuck in you makes a lot of difference.

It changes everything.

It's like magic...only to come for real and is lasting.

Thanks Sandra..

Hi, Sandra, let me quote you on this.
"We're lucky aren't we, you and me. We have Jesus to depend on for everything. Dinx, Jesus didn't come down to save a perfect world, the perfect person, but He came because of the sinners, the imperfect world, the imperfect person.
We're all like the rough diamond, to be able to shine brilliantly someday in the future, we need to get chiseled and cut (facets) and finally to be polished before we are classify as a diamond. So every cut, every chisel is only going to be good for us. We are going to SHINE someday when we stand before Him. Brilliantly! Isn't that just magnificent, to be able to stand with Him in His kingdom.
Stay strong child,"

Yeah! We are so blessed to have Jesus. He surely knows there's no end to all
the crap in this mad, fallen world. He knows that as we live in it..without a
"SHepherd" to guide us. We are totally lost.

Wars, terrorisms, earthquakes, tsunamis, diseases of any kind could strike the world anytime.
Like a thief in the night.
And it's not gona end either. There's really no end to it..(till He comes down again)

I used to live in that FEAR.

BUt mind changed.

It changed when I shifted my focus on Jesus.

Jesus tells me I can only be free from all these fears when
I rest in Him.

It's good thing to know that.

Now, I'm FREE!

It's great to know inspite of the mad world has come to offer us, we can still shine
like a diamond.

Yes! Jesus blood has perfected gold.

Inspite of everything that I have done, my bad thoughts and feelings to
anyone or anything.. I am still perfect with Him.

Everytime I would think about it. It just makes me feel good.

And wants to celebrate.

Thanks for dropping by Sandra.

I know I'm not alone in this feat.

My weakness.My strength.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 "But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

Each time I feel so weak and frustrated over something,
that feeling would really sink deep into me...
like massively digging a hole.

Like a dagger,
...piercing thru my heart..
.. and then it just freezes me.
Leaving me a feeling of remorse, shame and unworthiness.

Exposing my weaknesses would mean laying down my cards.
My imperfections.

I have a lot of weaknesses in me. If I focus on them detail by detail,
one by one...maybe it would take a lifetime. Definitely it would.

The world and other preachers would tell you to look at them so bad
that you'd puke. You don't even want to look at yourself in the mirror
anymore. Because by then , you'd get sick of "you"
and then would just decide to take on that mask and eventually stay away from God.

Good thing Jesus doesn't think that way.
Jesus doesn't want us to look wrongly in our imperfections and weaknesses.
Instead, He wants us to have a revelation in it. And get smart.

I consider my frustrations as one of my weaknesses.
Each time that happens I could just look onto Jesus and say to Him,
"where would I be without you, Jesus? You are my strength.
Thank you for coming for me. "

As I live...

Pains of all sorts, heartaches, headaches, bodyaches can attack me anytime.
Any day..any moment..

I have no idea where it really come from...
whether it's just my mind,
my thoughts..
my emotions..
my surroundings..

It's weird.

It's getting in my system and makes me wonder why it keeps on coming back.

As I'm typing this, slowly it's breaking me apart...

Sometimes it gets so sickening that I just wana throw up.

Yeah..I'm just keeping a grip on things.

Bearing all these questions ...How long shall I remain this way?

How long shall my pain strike me? Will this never end?

I wana be FREE from all these!

Funny how external events can cover up and put a mask on how
I truly feel.

Pathetic huh?

It's not a question of "where's-the-next-party?" so I can be free
from all these bad emotions and thoughts that keep hanging on
my mind...

Maybe forget about it for awhile till I get
to my "fun" senses back again.

It's not planning where to go next...what to do..
what pills to take or which book to read.

It's a question of "Whom to go to?"

..I'm thankful.

That Jesus has got me..just seeing the CROSS keeps me shut up.
Far from above it all it's not really my heartaches that really
matter in this world's Him.

Yeah.. it's just Him.

At thie moment, eventhough I don't feel much of His presence
because I am way too overwhelmed by my pains, heartaches,
sadness,confusions and depression right now..

I know He is there.

He will always be there...for me.

I can keep on shedding tears. Feel and let my confusions go and be that way till the sun goes down.

.. inspite of it all..He is with me..

I believe so.

My assurance?

It's the C R O S S..

Am I crazy? Be it that way.

Let's see where this "craziness" would take me..

I'll just keep resting on Him...

...this time it's FOREVER.

A Fearful Expectation of Judgment vs A Confident Expectation of Good

This is in response to the blog that I wrote on the 18th of May(2007) entitled
"A Typical Christian"

This powerful sermon from Pastor Prince has liberated me from fear of being judged by
Yes, I am a Christian . And I am not perfect.
I still have bad behaviors and habits hidden in me.
Some I couldn't just get rid off easily.

Apparently, non-believers or even fellow Christians
could judge and condemn me naturally,
point a finger at me and would eventually make me feel that
I am not worthy to receive Christ
because I have fallen short...because I did wrong and have sinned.

But that's not how Jesus' ways work.

Now, that I know the truth.
I can just smile and be rested.

Although how dirty and sinful I am right now .I can still come boldly to JESUS!
Because His blood has washed me clean from all my sins!
Jesus died for my sins. He has greatly paid for it.

And why should I continue to lock myself in
the dark when the light has come.

Jesus is the light!

Jesus is my LIGHT!

And no matter what..I'm gona be in that SHADE OF LIGHT FOREVER!

Ben Stein's Remarks from CBS Sunday Morning

I gotta share this with you my dear friends..
The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning

My confession:

I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees.. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are: Christmas trees.

It doesn 't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrati ng this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu . If people want a crïeche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Katrina) Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?'

In light of recent events... terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr Spock's son committed suicide). We said an=2 0 expert should know what he's talking about. And we said OK.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing yet?

Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on
your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they
will think of you for sending it.

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not then just discard it... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.

My Best Regards, Honestly and respectfully,
Ben Stein

When God Ran

The Value

I want you to read this first. I will leave my comment right after...:)

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?" Hands started going up.

He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this." He proceeded to crumple the $20 dollar bill up. He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air. "Well", he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air. "My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson", he said, "No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless.... and especially to those who love you.

The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or whom we know, but by WHO WE ARE.

"You are special - Don't EVER forget it."

Here's what I thought of this..

Many a times I have asked and questioned my worth.
Worldly as it seems, I used to base it on the things that I have.
The gadgets that I own.
The money that I have in the bank.
My career.
My friends.

If everything's doing well on any of that area, I'm good.
I can keep my head up high and walk tall.

BUT if all or any of it goes out to nothing..I'll be like a dead person walking.
No life and full of shame... W O R T H L E S S..

Sometimes I get so crumpled too..with all the struggles and undefeated
bad circumstances in my life.

Sad moments..depression striking out from nowhere. just happens like that. Poking you.

Well, that was me a year ago and many years back.
So pathetic ha?

Now, I don't need to question my worth again.
Because my worth has been proven when Jesus shed His blood for me
and allowed Himself to be crucified and die in the Calvary.

You heard me.. that's all for me!
Jesus did it all for me.

Amazing isn't it?

That truth alone has kept my mouth shut.

For loooong , loooong years of questioning God, blaming Him for what's happening in my life, aiming the bullets on Him for whatever I thought that was worth. I could just
stop and stare at Him right now..and say..what was wrong with me?

Jesus' blood is enough proof that I'm valuable to God.
That He loves me so much He gave up His only Son just to spare me from
all my sins.

I could just dance rock n roll to that great message!

Yes! Suddenly, I have stopped judging God based on my circumstances.
Whatever happens ...good or right now,me and my mama doesn't have
our own place to live in back in our finances are no
money in the bank, no savings yet and anything.

I'd still praise Him! Yeaaah! I'd still want Him! Because He is a good God
and I believe in His words...

I shall praise Him
