ReplyDeleteI came across this site by accident two times now, so I am glad that I did because I wouldn't have known that you left me a message.
I am from Chicago Illinois. I will have to admit from the beginning that I am not part of the Word of Faith movement, but I do love grace. I am a baptist that believes in pure grace.
I recently came to learn of Joseph Prince from searching the Internet. I bought his book Destined to Reign and have been thoroughly enjoying it. My initial fears being a former Church of God Pentecostal that the book would be all about speaking in tongues, healing, prosperity and so on and not so much about grace. I was very delighted to see that the book is from beginning to end ALL of grace. I now recommend it to my baptist friends because there are so many churches today that do not preach pure grace as it is often tainted with some form of law, conditions or man-made rules.
I am looking to get JP's Root Cause of Your Problem is Condemnation somewhere. I was hoping to find it somewhere online because JP's site is a bit expensive. I ordered my book on Amazon to save over $10.00. I would like to know where I can purchase either the CD or DVD version of that message online that will not cost me too much. If you know of any place then I would appreciate your help.

ReplyDeleteI am glad we are one with Ps Joseph Prince ' teachings. His pure teachings of GRACE really changed my life. Now, I consider God as my Daddy, Abba and not someone who will attack or beat me each time I misbehave.
That revelation is all that I need and it really made a lot of difference in my life.

ReplyDeleteI am only in agreements with Joseph Prince as he is with Scripture. I simply pointed out that what he says about grace is truly wonderful. I only expressed my initial fears about purchasing his book believing that it would be about tongues and other pentecostal like things but was happy to see that it didn't. I didn't say that to go off into the tongue issues with you as I believe your mentioning the tongues video was an invitation for a possible discussion that I do not seek.
I used to be a church of God Pentecostal that spoke in those so-called tongues at one time. I used to debate Pentecostals on that very topic. I just don't care to debate it anymore as there is no point. I found two heads firm in what they believe will not change.
Yes, I have seen that video and was trying to find a certain video that debunks it for you. The doctor in that video you gave is a New Age supporter (scary). However, a test was done by having people making no effort to have words come out of their mouth and the results were identical to those that speak in tongues.
Another interesting study was a hypnotist that convinced two people that they were aliens. The one individual was told to speak Martian and that the other individual would interpret for him and that is exactly what happened.
You will find all sorts of religions that speak in tongues. I met Catholics that deny that salvation is by faith alone apart from works speaking in tongues. They too claim that they are filled with such joy. You will find voodoo cults that speak in tongues and the language is eerily similar to what you hear in Pentecostal churches when they speak in tongues.
A man entered a pentecostal church that actually spoke a foreign language that was not common here in America. He quoted the 23rd Psalm in his language to see what would happen. Someone stood up and interpreted it and the interpretation had no reference to the 23rd Psalm at all.
One man speaking in tongues was offending a visiting Greek man because the man supposedly speaking in tongues kept saying, "Masterbation" in Greek over and over again. I knew the man personally as he shared the story with me.
I can go on and on with examples disproving tongues from "external" sources. My only purpose in doing this was to show that you will not believe that "external" evidence yourself so don't expect others to believe your external evidences either. Stick to Scripture. I have tongue talkers that will try sharing stories with me such as the video you gave as irrefutable proof that it was the Holy Spirit. I believe the video itself said that it was "proof" that it was the Holy Spirit???? Says who?? God or man??
I prefer clarity from Scripture and not some study from a New Ager that was debunked already.
You take care. I know that you believe in grace and that is what counts. I will just return back to my free grace crowd as our differences on spiritual gifts will certainly clash as I can see.
